The sauna is heated every day at Villa Sydän. As sauna bathing is an important part of the family’s everyday life, the saunas were designed to suit different moments and needs. The home has no fewer than three saunas, each with its own purpose.
The smaller sauna is ideal for a quick sauna session. Infrared heating and an electric sauna heater make it an easy way to relax in the middle of everyday life.
The home’s largest sauna, heated with a wood-burning stove, is perfect for longer sauna sessions. The dressing room next to the sauna serves as the entrance to the relaxation area, where the atmosphere begins as soon as you step inside. Matching panelling and furniture made from the same material bring the sauna and dressing room together as a harmonious whole. The space allows you to ease into the sauna experience by listening to music and watching the sauna heat up. During sauna sessions, the space also provides direct access to the terrace for cooling off.
The third sauna is located in the grandparents’ wing, where they can heat the sauna and enjoy their sauna time at their own pace.
All three saunas share a fresh and natural feel. The light-coloured materials stand out among the darker saunas at the Housing Fair. The shades Kuura and Koivu from the TAIVE Sauna Collection were chosen to bring brightness and a modern feel to the spaces. The same harmony continues throughout the TAIVE solutions from the dressing room’s furniture and panelling to the benches and accessories.
