TAIVE sauna benches take your sauna experience to a new level. TAIVE sauna benches are designed with tailored TAIVE bench modules to fit your sauna. Our designers will incorporate your wishes into your layout, and always provide you with alternate solution options, if available. Our carpenters will complete a test assembly in our factory prior to shipping to assure the perfect fit. The bench solutions are structurally robust and do not require additional support from the floor. You can also order the basic units from us and build your sauna interior yourself.
Sauna benches are manufactured in Finland
We manufacture high-quality sauna benches from domestic raw materials in our own carpentry workshop in Espoo, Finland. In addition to the low carbon footprint of our products, all of our products have been awarded the Key Flag symbol as a proof of their Finnish origin.
We use domestic birch plywood, which can be surface veneered with either warm-toned Hemlock, natural CWP Koivu (birch) or grey-toned CWP Kelo. The material can also be tinted with the desired shade. All gluing is done with a weather resistant D4 class adhesive with an M1 emission rating. This construction ensures very good stress resistance and low moisture absorption.
TAIVE benches are easy to maintain
TAIVE benches are designed to be mounted to the sauna walls without legs. The units of the upper and lower benches and backrests can be easily removed for cleaning and maintenance. Noise-cancelling silicone bumpers ensure air flow and moisture dispersion between the seat and the frame.
The benches are always carefully finished with protective wax at our carpentry workshop, so the customer does not have to treat them prior to use. The surface treatment we apply extends the life of the material and makes it easier to clean. We always apply the protective treatment by hand, which means that slight colour variations in the surface of the product may be possible due to the natural patterning of the wood.
Sauna bench structure is robust
TAIVE bench solutions are structurally robust, resembling more the products of furniture industry. The bench frames are assembled with dowel joints, with dowel pins and nuts. The massive wood material usually slightly shrinks in the sauna heat and this often loosens up the joints or causes unpleasant creak or even breakages of the benches. TAIVE bench frame is made of Finnish birch plywood with minimal deformation. Any looseness in frame joints can be easily tightened with a hex key.
The bench bracket is a special joist hanger, made of acid-proof stainless steel. The construction of the bracket prevents the displacement of the bench bracket and therefore these sauna benches cannot fall off the wall. The construction and material of the bench brackets also prevent any unpleasant creaks.
Sauna bench colors
Our sauna shades are created to meet a variety of preferences and styles. The sauna benches are made from domestic birch plywood, and you can choose the surface material from warm-toned Hemlock, natural CWP Koivu (birch) or grey-toned CWP Kelo.
The surface materials offer three beautiful shades on their own, but we also offer a selection of five shades. All of our shades beautifully bring out the natural grain of the wood, highlighting its unique beauty.
