In the case of a family with children, special attention should be paid to the safety of the sauna, in which case, for example, it is good to place the heater as far away from small saunas as possible. Older saunas may require barrier-free movement, and in this case the sauna must have enough free floor space.
When planning the lighting of the sauna, the sufficiency of the light should be taken into account. Twilight vision often worsens with age, and more light is then needed. However, lighting is not just a source of light: it can create a very special atmosphere in a space. A well-lit space also looks bigger. Ruokonen emphasizes the importance of lighting: "Lighting is something with which we can significantly influence the comfort and atmosphere of the space. The right kind of lighting also brings out the sauna benches and wall panels better. Saunas are often too dark. Why don't we give the farm the lighting it deserves?"

The customer often has a clear image of the desired end result and his thoughts often move in the visual implementation of the plan. However, the technical aspects related to the implementation must also be taken into account in the planning.
