The Sauna Ultra Ambient product family was developed with a clear goal: to create a lighting solution that combines exceptional durability with beautiful, atmospheric light, even in the most demanding conditions. The result is a light strip that maintains its performance and aesthetic appeal whether installed in a sauna ceiling at up to +125 °C or along the edge of an outdoor pool in −30 °C winter cold.

“We wanted to bring a versatile new product to the market and address real customer challenges caused by temperature fluctuations,” says Cariitti CEO Peter Ruokonen.

The Sauna Ultra Ambient is designed to meet the needs of a variety of spaces and applications.

• Withstands the hottest sauna steams in the ceiling and can also be used as backlighting behind benches and backrests.
• Elegantly illuminates terraces, docks, pools, and railings – even in midwinter cold.
• The flexible design adapts to bends and custom shapes without complicated installation.
• Even where extreme temperature resistance is not required, the light strip can be used practically anywhere – in bathroom ceilings, kitchens, or living rooms – only your imagination sets the limit.
  

“With Sauna Ultra Ambient, you can light up your outdoor pool in −30 °C winter cold, and the same lighting will delight the eye in your sauna ceiling at +85 °C,” Peter describes.

The quality of light plays a key role in creating the right atmosphere, and this is where Sauna Ultra Ambient truly stands out. The product family includes three different models, offering solutions for a variety of lighting needs.

• White – Creates a calm, warm 2700K glow, perfect for a relaxing ambiance.
• Tunable White – Allows adjustable color temperatures from 2200 K to 4000K, enabling moods from soft and warm to fresh and energizing.
• RGBW – Combines the full RGB color spectrum with warm white (2700K), providing both soothing illumination and vibrant color effects, ideal for terraces or around outdoor pools.
  

All models can be equipped with dimming functionality, making it easy to adjust the mood and create indirect lighting.

Sauna Ultra Ambient light strips are designed for easy installation. Their flexible construction adapts to curved and challenging surfaces, and the strips can be cut at 50 mm intervals – even with ordinary kitchen scissors.

• The White model is available in 2 m and 6 m lengths via the online store.
• Tunable White and RGBW models can be ordered in 1 m increments.
• All models are also available in custom lengths, tailored precisely to the installation site.

The light strips come in Side and Top versions. The main differences between these versions relate to the strip size and the direction of light and bending, allowing users to choose the solution that best suits their space and desired ambiance.

“Thanks to the flexibility of Sauna Ultra Ambient, we also use it for backlighting our Aspectu and Eclipse products,” Peter explains.
